Vietnam makes safety top priority in nuclear energy

(VNA) Vietnam gives top priority to safety and security in developing the application of nuclear energy, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said at the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington on April 13.
Consequently, Vietnam has actively built and completed a legal basis and a management agency system on control, safety and security in using nuclear materials and radioactive substances, he added.

PM meets with foreign leaders at nuclear summit

(VNA) Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on April 12 held separate meetings with leaders of Japan , New Zealand, Morocco and the European Union (EU) on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit in the US.
Meeting with his Japanese counterpart, Yukio Hatoyama, PM Dung thanked and spoke highly of the practical assistance Japan has extended to Vietnam ’s national construction and development.

He also urged the Japanese Government to increase its official development assistance (ODA) to and help Vietnam carry out major infrastructure projects.

Vietnam condemns all forms of terrorist acts

(VNA) Vietnam condemns terrorist acts in any form and strongly supports the international community’s efforts to combat terrorism based on international law and the UN Charter, said the government leader.

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung delivered this message at the ongoing Nuclear Security Summit in the US, which brought together the heads of 47 nations, the UN, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the European Union (EU).

VN improving climate for US producers: PM

He made the statement at a reception for executives from the American Apparel Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and some major importers on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington DC on the morning of April 12 local time.

On February 24, 2010, the Embassy of Vietnam in Washington D.C hosted the 4th Meeting of ASEAN Agricultural Attachés (the AAA Meeting). US veterans praise Vietnam’s spirit of reconciliation

(VNA) US war veterans commended the Vietnamese people for their spirit of reconciliation and their support in the search for the remains of the US servicemen reported missing in action (MIA) during the Vietnam War.

The remarks were made during a recent press briefing held in Washington to report on a week-long visit to Vietnam from Jan. 11-17 of 29 members of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF).

Vietnamese youth association set up in Washington, D.C
