MFA Spokesperson on Middle East violence
Ha Noi, Oct. 13 (VNA) -- The spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Viet Nam's support for the Palestinian people's just struggle for an independent State of Palestine and a peaceful solution to the Palestine question.
In response to a question raised by an AFP correspondent about the increasing violence in the Middle East, the spokesperson said:
"Viet Nam was deeply worried about the escalation of violence in the Middle East.
Viet Nam now, as before, stands behind the just struggle of the Palestinian people for their fundamental national rights, including their right to self-determination and their right to set up an independent State of Palestine.
We hope that relevant parties will restrain themselves, put an immediate end to the use of force, and resume negotiations, thus speeding up the peace process so as to reach a fair and sustainable solution to the Palestine question," concluded the spokesperson
