Ambassador seeks to boost Vietnam-Pennsylvania ties

(VNA) Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Nguyen Quoc Cuong has paid a working visit to Pittsburg city in Pennsylvania State, to boost economic and education cooperation between Vietnam and the US state.

During the Oct. 5-7 visit, Ambassador Cuong held working sessions with leaders of Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the University of Pittsburg and the Chatham University.

The diplomat briefed the host of Vietnam’s integration policy, its socio-economic achievements and potentials.

Vietnam, US discuss boosting bilateral partnership

(VNA) Vietnamese Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Sept. 26 discussed measures to beef up bilateral partnership between the two countries towards strategic partnership.
During the meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on the regional structure in Asia-Pacific. They also sought to strengthen cooperation in science and education.
