Development investment to rise by 16% in 2001
Ha Noi, Nov. 6 (VNA) -- Viet Nam will see its development investment rise by 16 percent in 2001 to make up nearly 29 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), reports the Ministry of Investment and Planning.
Domestic financial sources will contribute 65 percent, consisting of 21 percent from the State budget, 16 percent from State credits, 17.5 percent from the State-owned enterprises, and 25 percent from the population.
Foreign direct investment to be put into operation is expected to increase by 21.8 percent, holding nearly 20 percent of the possible total development investment for the next year.
