Industrial production increase in 11 months
Ha Noi, Nov. 28 (VNA) -- Viet Nam's industrial production value reached VND 178,966 billion (USD 12,428 million) in the past 11 months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 15.7 percent, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
The State-run sector posted an increase of 12.5 percent, the foreign-invested sector, 18.1 percent, and the non-State sector, saw a the highest increase, 18.2 percent.
Remarkable yearly increases were recorded in the production of sanitary porcelain (40.4 percent), cement (26.8 percent), clothes (16.8 percent), rolled steel (15.8 percent), paper (12.6 percent), electricity (12.2 percent), and coal (up 11.8 percent).
Localities obtaining high growth rates included Binh Duong southern province, 34.3 percent; Hai Phong, 21.7 percent; Ho Chi Minh City, 15.7 percent; Ha Noi, 15.4 percent; and Da Nang, 14.7 percent.
Non-State enterprises in almost all provinces recorded year-on-year increases, like Vinh Phuc with 36.5 percent; Hai Phong, 35.3 percent; Phu Tho, 29.2 percent; Quang Ninh, 21.9 percent; and Ha Noi, 18.5 percent. This was attributed to the implementation of the new Enterprise Law, which facilitates the establishment of enterprises and investment in the non-State sector, and simplifies administrative procedures.--VNA
