Strengthening all-people national defence education
Ha Noi, Feb. 21 (VNA) -- Improving the quality and efficiency of all-people national defence education to meet the requirement of defending the Socialist Repulic of Viet Nam in any situation is the main content of the directive issued by the Party Political Bureau on Feb. 12.
The directive on enhancing all-people national defence education in the new situation stressed that national defence education for the entire people is part of the national education, and that the popularisation of all-people national defence education is a common task of the Party, the State and the entire society. It calls for the education of necessary military sense, knowledge and skills to the entire people.
The directive asks the Government to instruct the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Government's Organisation and Personnel Board and the Ministry of Finance to coordinate in creating the necessary facilities for teaching and studying.
The Central Party Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defence should coordinate with the Commission for Organisation and Personnel and the Commission for Ideology and Culture of the Party Central Committee and the Ministry of Finance to implement national defence education for the Party members and officials at all levels.
The Party Central Committee's Commission for Ideology and Culture and the Ministry of Culture and Information should take measures to improve the quality of information and all-people national defence education through the media from the central to local levels.--VNA
