Wholly foreign invested project on farm and aquatic
Ha Noi, March 20 (VNA) -- The Planning and Investment Ministry has licensed a wholly Netherlands-invested project on buying farm produce and foodstuff.
The USD 120-million project, the biggest involving in agriculture so far, has a legal capital of USD 36 million and will be operational for 50 years.
The Metro Cash & Carry Vietnam Co. Ltd. will invest USD 55.6 million during the project's first phase in establishing two establishments in Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi. They will buy farm products from farmers, processors and exporters and wholesale Viet Nam-made products.
In the second phase, the company plans to build eight Cash & Carry centres across the country. These centres buy, select, preserve, examine quality of, process and consume farm products, seafood and foodstuff.--VNA
