Agreements on Visa Exemption between Vietnam and some countries
To enhance multi-faceted relations with other countries, at the same time to make favourable conditions for the travelling of their citizens, Vietnam has agreed with a lot of countries on visa exemption on the basis of mutual benefit for their citizens. So far, Vietnam has concluded agreements with some ountries on visa exemption. The main content of the agreements is as follows :
India : The agreement has come into effect from March 23, 1995. The exemption of entry visa, exit visa and transit visa is applied to diplomatic and service passports provided that the stay permit does not exceed 90 days. For diplomatic and service passport bearers who work at diplomatic representative offices, consulates or representatives of international organisations shall be liable to enjoy visa exemption during their tenure. Spouses of such personnel and their children who are minors shall also be liable to enjoy the above-mentioned rights.
Bulgaria : The note between the two countries has taken effect from June 1, 1996. The exemption of entry, exit and transit visas is applied to diplomatic, service passports and ordinary passport bearers for their mission, collective passports for missions and tourist passports for groups.
Cambodia : The agreement was signed on November 30, 1979 and is now taking its effect. The exemption of entry , exit and transit visas shall be granted to the two countries' citizens having diplomatic passport, service passport, diplomatic and official laise passe
