Party and State leaders receive Cao Dai representatives

Ha Noi, September 3 (VNA)- Tong Thi Phong, Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam's Central Committee and Pham Gia Khiem, Deputy Prime Minister on Wednesday received on separate occasions dignitaries of the Cao Dai religious sect who are visiting Ha Noi.
Representatives of Cao Dai Executive Council’s Committee for Religious Reform and Cao Dai Bach y expressed their gratitude for the Party and the State for ensuring freedom of belief and for their care of the life of the Cao Dai believers.
They said they were impressed with their visit to Ha Noi, to President Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and to the Hung King temple.
The dignitaries expressed their pride in the Cao Dai patriotic tradition during the past resistance wars.
Today, dignitaries and believers are resolved to promote their revolutionary tradition, well implement the Party and State policies to build a new cultural life-style and unite religious sects according to the principle of "Serving the Religion and Loving the Country"
Tong Thi Phong spoke highly of Cao Dai dignitaries and believers' contributions to the national struggle and national construction. She hoped that they would further promote their revolutionary tradition and well implement the Party and State policies while promoting the right of democracy at grassroots level.
Pham Gia Khiem highly valued the Cao Dai dignitaries and believers' contributions to the two resistance wars with thousands of them being recognised as martyrs. The Government has conferred many medals and orders on those who made contributions to the Revolution and the title of Heroic Mothers on 63 mothers who are Cao Dai believers. He said he hoped that Cao Dai dignitaries would encourage the believers to further uphold their revolutionary tradition and well implement the religious policies of the Party and the State.
