US Officials Make Fact-finding Tour to Drought-hit Area
Gia Lai, Aug. 2 (VNA) - A delegation from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) made a fact-finding tour to one of the areas hardest hit by droughts in the central highlands province of Gia Lai during their two-day tour to the province from August 1.
William Berger, Adviser for South/Southeast Asia of the USAID's Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance; Nathan Sage, USAID Viet Nam Environment Program Manager; and Heather Variava, Economic Officer of the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, met with ethnic minority people in Yang Trung commune, Konchoro district, to inquire into their losses.
