Hanoi to host first Vietnam-US trade fair in November
The first Vietnam-US economic and trade cooperation fairs will be held in Hanoi from Nov. 6 to 9 on the occasion of President George W. Bush’s visit to Vietnam for an Asia-Pacific summit meeting.
Under the theme “Vietnam: Potential Investment Opportunities,” the fair will introduce a wide range of exhibits in various fields of heavy industry, light industry, processing industry, construction, telecommunication, agriculture, fishery, tourism, IT, insurance, banking, financing.
Vietnamese and US companies can also rent an exhibition booth at the fair to market their products/services.
In addition, a number of conferences, seminars and networking sessions will be hosted by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry to facilitate business cooperation between Vietnamese and American companies.
The event is sponsored by the Vietnamese government, various Ministries, Hanoi People’s Committee, the US Embassy in Vietnam, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.
As the fastest growing economy in Southeast Asia, Vietnam’s bilateral trade with the US totaled more than $7.8 billion last year, a five-fold increase since the Bilateral Trade Agreement took effect in 2001.
Vietnam’s World Trade Organization ascension will lead to great access for US companies’ products and services in the Vietnamese market.
