Seminar introduces e-commerce network between Vietnam and US

Ha Noi, August 28 (VNA) -- Information technology agencies of Viet Nam and the United States have introduced a new IT network, which they described as an "E-commerce bridge" between the two countries.

The Business Vietnamopenmarket-BVOM- is currently being tested in Viet Nam to see whether it will help Vietnamese businesses to better promote their products and services among international clients, said resident representative of the American Technology Inc.(ATI) Dr. Le Ngoc Sau.

He told a seminar in central Quang Nam province on August 28 that Vietnamese businesses, at a very low cost, may log onto the network to sell their products or services directly to overseas consumers.

The BVOM has been providing services to a wide range of businesses such as import-export operations and bids to call for foreign investment, said the local organisers from the Centre for Information Technology and Database and the Service of Science, Technology and Environment of Quang Nam province.--VNA
