Substantial Progress in Vietnam-US trade agreement negotiations
VNA Ha Noi, July 23 -- Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dzung expressed satisfaction at the substantial progress in the negotiation process for a bilateral trade agreement between Vietnam and the US while receiving deputy US Trade Representative Richard Fisher in Ha Noi on July 23.
Deputy PM Dzung welcomed the working visit to Vietnam by Richard Fisher and his entourage who have been here for negotiations for a trade agreement between the two countries. He said he hoped that with joint efforts by both sides, the negotiations would soon reach new agreement, creating favorable conditions for speeding up the normalization of economic-commercial ties between the two countries.
Richard Fisher expressed his fine impressions of the land and people of Vietnam and took notes of the efforts made by both sides during the course of negotiations. He said he hoped that the remaining differences would soon be narrowed for the early signing of a bilateral trade agreement in the interests of both countries.
