Vietnam Airlines Plans Direct Flights To US
Vietnam’s national flag carrier has announced it is preparing for direct flights from Vietnam to the US, which are slated for launch in mid-2007. 
The carrier’s first destinations would be Los Angeles and San Francisco, from which there would be flights to other US cities through American Airlines, local Tien Phong newspaper reported.
Vietnam Airlines currently offers Vietnam-US flights through code sharing with American Airlines. It flies to 37 cities across the world.
