PM Stresses Importance of Laws Relevant to Daily Life
The Prime Minister of Vietnam stressed the importance of issuing practical laws and by-laws consistent with daily life in Vietnam, said a government spokesman in a press brief Tuesday in Hanoi.
Nguyen Kinh Quoc made the statement at the monthly government meeting for July 31-Aug. 1 which also covered draft resolutions on the implementation of the 10th Party Congress resolutions and the National Assembly resolution on the 2006-10 plans.
The Prime Minister ordered agencies and ministries to promptly build a procedure for the development of laws and by-laws, designating responsibilities to specific agencies.
Draft decrees on overseas investment, scientific and technology enterprises were also addressed, he said.
After a report by the Trade Minister on the progress of the WTO negotiations, the Prime Minister ordered the ministry to watch the progress closely and to expeditiously publish agreements with trading partners.
The Ministry was also ordered to swiftly build an action plan for entering the WTO.
The PM also instructed the Government Office to build a plan to support the office of the Prime Minister after the recent dissolution of the Prime Minister's Research Commission and the Economics and external Affairs Research Group.
