Vietnamese and foreign singers' performances
Ha Noi, March 19 (VNA) --
* Vietnamese Artists Tour U.S.
Vietnamese pop singers Phuong Thanh, Lam Truong, Thu Phuong and Quang Huy and commediene Hong Van have made a three-week tour of the United States.
The Vietnamese artists gave seven performances in Richmond, Atlanta, Boston, Atlantic Cicy and San Jose.
This, the first U.S. tour by Vietnamese artists, was initiated by overseas Vietnamese business as put of a co-ordinated effort to bring Vietnamese performers to North American audiences.
* Foreign Singers to Perform in Ha Noi
Opera singers from Europe, the United States and Japan will give a one-night-only performance in Ha Noi on May 6.
The Ha Noi Conservatoire choir will support the performance that will include extracts from "Cosi fan Tutte" by W. A. Mozart, "Samson et Dalila" by C. Saint Saens, "Lucia di Lammermoor" by G. Donizetti.
The performance is the sixth in the Hennessy Concert Programme supported by the Hennessy Company since 1996 to introduce famous foreign artists in Viet Nam. It will be telecast live by the Viet Nam Television.--VNA
