HOMELAND SPRING PROGRAM 2025

On the occasion of the 2025 Lunar New Year (Year of the Snake), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cordially invites overseas Vietnamese currently living, working, and studying abroad to register for the Homeland Spring 2025 program with the theme "Vietnam – Rising in a New Era", taking place from January 18-21, 2025, in Hanoi, Vietnam. The program is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, in collaboration with relevant agencies.

Vietnamese Party official pays working visit to US

Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of its Commission for External Relations Le Hoai Trung paid a working visit to the US from December 2-5. At meetings with US partners, Trung and his US partners appreciated the positive results of the Vietnam-US relations in recent years, especially following the upgrade of their partnership to a Comprehensive strategic partnership.

Ceremony organized by the Embassy of Viet Nam to celebrate the 79th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day

On September 5, at the Vietnam House in Washington DC, the Vietnamese Embassy in the United States solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024).

President Tô Lâm elected as Party General Secretary

On morning August 3, 2024, under the chair of Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) was convened to nominate and elected the General Secretary of the 13th Central Committee of the CPV. Politburo member and President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam To Lam was elected as General Secretary of the 13th Central Committee of the CPV with 100% of the approval votes.
